Despite the national media headlines, real estate in New Hampshire is still viable, interest rates are very low and properties are selling. Yes, the typical time on the market has increased and selling prices have decreased; however, due to this trend the dream of home-ownership has become attainable to many who were unable to buy in the extremely high market we experienced 3 years ago.
As a real estate broker I see this market normalization opening doors of opportunity for buyers throughout the state. It is a great time to buy in New Hampshire! Prices are reasonable, the inventory is plentiful and banks and mortgage brokers are offering low interest rates and excellent programs for home buyers.
I myself purchased a property when the market was on the decline in 2006 and found that I was able to buy for a great price, lock into a competitive interest rate and purchase a property that continues to increase in value every year.
There is nothing to fear, real estate in New Hampshire is viable and it is a great time to buy!

The eastern sections of the country seem to be faring a little better than the north and south. It’s always good to hear reports from other parts of the country because the local scene can vary tremendously from what is said in the media.

It is a great time to buy. I’ve been seeing multiple offers in my area.
Have a great day.

Thank you both for your comments. You make a very valid point, real estate is localized. We are seeing variation in market stats from county to county in NH.
